I'm going to be transferring to Utah this Tuesday. It's strange for sure but we're rolling with it haha. Part of the reason being I'm needing a medication for health stuff, and the other being that I've been called by an apostle so it's definitely been revelatory for this new change.

I'm going to be part of a church-wide test for service missions. Service missions have changed A LOT. I'm still going to be proselyting, I do 40 hours of service a week (some of which include working heavy equipment all the way to making the book of Mormon videos for the church). I'm also going to be apart of the Orem Utah mission, what that means is I participate in zone conferences district councils and also going out proselyting with other missionaries.

But yeah I'm gonna be back in Utah, living in Lehi so that's gonna be weird lol. But I'm not in anyway discouraged by this call! I'm super excited and willing to serve the Lord in any way possible, I've enjoyed every bit of my time in the North Dakota Bismarck mission, and its certainly not the end, in 3 to 6 months I could be returning to the North Dakota Bismarck mission, but for now the brethren want me in Utah. And if you guys see me feel free to say hi, and you can even text me. And also just for clarification. I'm still serving a mission, my return date is still June 13th of 2024 as of now, so yeah. I love all of you. I'm excited to be apart of this Church test, and let me know if you guys have questions!

Yeah this one’s a bit of a bummer but I got Covid the first few days I’m in Utah so that’s fun, there’s not much to report this week other than, that I’m going to be teaching horse therapy and working in the temple for my first little bit of service and I’ll let you guys know what else I pick up.

The New Transfer

 Hey Everyone!

Feels good to be able to write to you all again! This week has been pretty intense so I'm exhausted lol. The new Elder for the Rosebud area arrived and he's pretty chill. I'm leading out the area this time so it's pretty interesting to lead out the companionship especially on the reservation. A lot of spiritual guidance is needed haha

We've just been working really hard though and even got someone on date for baptism in November so while it's hard work, it definitely pays off. We had general conference recently and I hope you all watched! It was for sure eye opening and gave so much revelation that I hope you guys can enjoy! It was super fun to enjoy the company of the senior couple and be able to watch conference with them and to cook for them as well. I made Baked Ziti and it turned out great!

In other news the church finally got missionaries back in the Pine Ridge reservation a little south from Rosebud so it's good to see that the Pine Ridge zone is back up and running since we're originally part of Pine Ridge Zone. But as I said, it's been hard work, we're really trying to clean up the church's name from recent lies being told around Pine Ridge since they were gone and it's going great.

Well, there's not much else in news, sorry if I seem a little down, just exhausted lol. I love all of you dearly.

Staying in Rosebud!

Today we had P-day on Tuesday because it is transfer week.  And speaking of, it looks like I'm staying here in Rosebud and getting a new companion! I'm super pleased to know this because I really wanted to stay here anyways since it's just so peaceful and there's so much to learn about the culture and how to teach them!

My time here with Elder Ieremia has been an absolute blast though and I'll be honest I've definitely learned how to be a better missionary and person with him so I'm supper happy to have had him as my companion for the guidance in my life.

And it's not just Elder Ieremia that's given me a lot of guidance, just being here on the reservation has totally changed my outlook on a lot of different things, and the constant spirituality of the reservation has made me realize a lot of things and given me answers to prayers! Feels like I kinda became a new person after this transfer lol.

Not too much happened these past few weeks as it was a bit of a struggle to find people lately, we've knocked almost every town in Rosebud, but we're not gonna give up! Or at least me and Elder Sorensen (my new Companion) won't lol, but I'm really hoping to be able to baptize someone while I'm here.

Here is some pics of me and the neighborhood kids dog lol. He's a big sweetheart and a teddybear.

A Car. On Fire. And some more cooking!

I was able to use my mad cooking skills again and made minestrone for my companion and the Senior couple. It turned out really good!

Every week on P-Day we travel to Pierre which is about 1 hour away. We meet with the other Elders and Sisters. It is fun, but takes up most of our day.

This week was a little slow. Oh yeah except for the car on fire a few hundred feet away from our house, everyone was ok and not a scratch on the family in the car but it straight exploded so that was a fun conversation topic lol

Cooking Week!

 Hey everyone!

I'm gonna keep this email super short but, I've been teaching and finding like usual, but the most eventful part of my week was being able to cook homemade sauce for the senior couple! I tried to make it like my Grandma's sauce (thanks Mimi!), but I am not sure it came out exactly the same.

Just wanted to let you all know that I love you guys and I love hearing from all of you when you guys respond!

Love ya!

Teaching Through A Puppy

It's been a pretty normal week nothing too exciting happening, the only two things are that we were able to help a dog out on a very hot day it was hiding under a car and we went into the store it was next to and got it some food and water, my companion was not liking the idea but I insisted lol. And we were able to receive a lot of donations to the reservations through the senior couple here and we've filled up the church with clothes and supplies for people in need, so that was a very inspirational day here on the reservation.

So I thought I'd make a spiritual thought about it for you guys, just remember that when you are in the service of others that you are in the service of your Lord, be sure to reach out to those who need help and lend a hand. You never know who needs an act of service or even just a simple check In to see how they're doing.

I challenge you guys to look out for service this week!

Another Week in Rosebud

This week has been pretty uneventful except for one thing... The Rosebud fair was this past week and it was super fun being able to contact people and also be able to be in a fair on the reservation! It was super cool being able to see the culture and the fun times they all make together. Fair food is the best - I had a donut cheeseburger.

These weeks are getting shorter and shorter I've been away from home for almost 4 months now how crazy is that! I'll be home hugging all of you in no time!

I hope you're all well and sorry for the short email I'm responding to all your personals TODAY So if I haven't responded to your personal email by the end of the day just let me know its hard to keep track of everyone lol and I'll be sure to email you.

I'm going to be transferring to Utah this Tuesday. It's strange for sure but we're rolling with it haha. Part of the reason bein...
